| Bio: | !!! We gave up this journal in November 05 and founded a LJ community instead. All entries have been moved and new ones are now posted to ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif){kind=small} schal. Please go there!A journal dedicated to any variant of the complictated relationship between Harry Potter and Severus Snape - romantic, platonic or familial. And of course to chocolate! Maryx and Morrighan hail from Europe, while Nessime is more than a few time zones away in the western United States. Nessime and Maryx met through Nessime's fan fic, Harry Potter and the Storms of Desiderium, of which Maryx was a faithful and thorough reviewer. Maryx was such an excellent reviewer that she was swiftly promoted to beta reader. Morrighan was introduced to the two through FictionAlleyPark, the forums that are a part of FictionAlley. The three of them were consistently posting in the same threads (by and large having to do with any sort of relationship between Harry and Severus) in the "Help! I'm Looking For..." portion of the forums and soon began to send each other private messages through FictionAlley and all three swiftly became friends. S.C.H.A.L. is the brain child of the lovely Maryx and was quickly latched on to by Morrighan and Nessime. The three ladies were wanting a rec site in which they not only got the title, author, and link for a fic, but also a review that would give a brief overview of the fic and more importantly, why the reviewer liked it. Instead of merely wishing for such a thing, they took matters into their own hands and developed one. They felt that if all three of them were to review each fic recommended, others could get a good perspective of a fic before reading it and would be able to ascertain whether or not the fic would be the right one for the individual to read.
